How Vybridge works on your website

One script connects your website to Vybridge

Install one lightweight script to activate your Vybridge advertising placements and measured traffic.

You stay in control of your website.

Your Vybridge script

<script src="https://vybridge.com/w.js" data-site="YOUR_SITE_KEY" async></script>

Each website receives its own unique site key.

  • No admin access

Vybridge does not receive access to your hosting, CMS, or database.

  • No visitor profiles

Site Traffic measures page views without creating visitor profiles.

  • Domain protected

Your site key is validated against your registered domain.

The three parts of the install snippet

w.js

Loads the Vybridge runtime for your site.

data-site

Your unique site key—not a password.

async

Loads without blocking page HTML.

Like other third-party scripts, it still adds network activity after load.

What the script does on your website

Advertising placements

Shows the placements you configured in the locations you chose.

Ad delivery

Displays booked ads in the correct placement when eligible.

Unsold placement discovery

May show a marketplace link on placements without an active booking.

Measured traffic

Records page views and aggregate device, country, and top-page stats.

Installation status

Helps confirm in your dashboard that the script is installed.

Installing Vybridge does not give us control of your website

The script runs in visitors’ browsers and talks to Vybridge over HTTPS. It cannot access or change your server-side systems.

  • Hosting account access
  • CMS administration
  • Website database access
  • Passwords
  • Form submissions or private messages
  • Customer payment credentials

Traffic measurement without visitor profiles

Vybridge measures page views, not people.

  • No Site Traffic visitor or session IDs
  • No Site Traffic cookies or browser storage
  • Query strings and URL fragments are not sent for Site Traffic
  • IP addresses and User-Agent strings are not stored in Site Traffic records
Technical details
  • Site Traffic shows aggregate website activity for advertisers evaluating your site—not individual visitors.
  • w.js may read the full browser URL to detect navigation, but Site Traffic measurement transmits only the page pathname.
  • Site Traffic measurement sends only the page pathname to Vybridge—not query strings, URL hashes, or credentials embedded in URLs. Stored records keep that same normalized pathname.
  • Advertising placement requests send origin and pathname only for page matching. Query strings and URL hashes are not transmitted.
  • Sensitive path segments are grouped into a privacy-safe bucket before public analytics.
  • Vybridge Site Traffic measurement records do not store IP addresses or User-Agent strings. Like any HTTPS request, network metadata reaches the server transiently and may be used to derive country for aggregation.
  • Paid ad serving measurement is separate: it records booking-linked impressions and clicks, not general site browsing profiles.

What “page views” means

Page view

A measured page load or navigation while w.js is running.

Not the same as

  • Unique people
  • Unique visitors
  • Sessions
  • Reach

Domain security

  1. Your site
  2. Unique site key
  3. Domain check
  4. Vybridge

Each site has its own site key. Vybridge validates requests against your registered domain, so copying another publisher’s key to an unrelated site should not work.

You’re in control

  • You decide whether to install the script.
  • Removing it stops future browser-side Vybridge runtime activity from that installation.

Removing w.js does not delete historical measurement that Vybridge already recorded from legitimate traffic. Retention follows Vybridge policies described in the Privacy Policy.
